Finance Manager

Our client is a premier global provider of specialised engineering and technical services for large-scale infrastructure projects. Currently executing a rapid expansion strategy across the APAC region following significant recent investment and acquisition activity. We are seeking a high-caliber Finance Manager to join their leadership team.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances high-level strategic advisory with the oversight of core finance functions. You will be instrumental in integrating recent acquisitions and ensuring the financial framework supports a rapidly scaling project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the APAC Management Team, contributing to strategic decisions, long-range planning, and regional governance.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee monthly closes, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple APAC entities, ensuring alignment between regional performance and global standards.
  • Treasury & Cash Management: Manage regional cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation.
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across APAC jurisdictions, overseeing corporate tax filings and managing external audit relationships.
  • Commercial Advisory: Provide critical financial guidance on commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and margin improvement programs.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a dedicated finance team, fostering a culture of integrity, accuracy, and proactive business partnership.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • Qualifications: A relevant tertiary degree and professional certification (CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent) are essential.
  • Extensive Experience: 10+ years of finance management experience, including a proven track record of leading teams within a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in IFRS/AASB, tax compliance, and sophisticated financial reporting.
  • Regional Acumen: Previous exposure to managing finance functions across various APAC jurisdictions will be a distinct advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate a changing, high-growth environment with commercial astuteness.
